Therapy Services

Approach

I provide a safe and empathetic environment focused on individual empowerment. This means that I meet each client where they are at and provide them with a tailored approach to target specific needs based on their background and goals. I stay curious and non-judgemental.

I use a combination of evidence-based techniques including trauma-focused CBT, relational counseling and somatic therapy. My neuroscience background allows me to provide psychoeducation on how the brain learns and adapts from our childhood experiences. Adaptations from early childhood often stop serving us at some point in life and I will teach you new ways to cope with life’s challenges, while offering concrete tools and guidance to build a strong foundation of skills you can rely on. Each treatment is personalized to your individual needs and is designed in a way that helps you tap into your current strengths to help heal or change what might not be working for you, and so you can effectively work  toward your goals.

I take a holistic view of therapy and make sure that we connect with your body, mind and soul throughout the process. You will gain insight into how your experiences shape how you think and feel about yourself, others, and the world. We will process emotions and address avoidance, fear, and the feeling of being stuck, and I will provide you with tools you can use to move into a more flexible way of thinking and being.

Everything you ever wanted is on the other side of fear.

What to Expect

What is the session format?

Individual sessions are 45-50 minutes long. Family therapy sessions with children and parents, assessment-heavy sessions, and intake sessions run around 60 minutes in length. I also run group sessions, which might have anywhere from 3 - 10 participants and are 60 minutes.

Sessions are held either via HIPAA compliant video platform or in person in Dobbs Ferry, Westchester, NY.

What will my 1st session will be like?

First session will be a 1-hour long intake session where we will focus on your history, background, and the most pressing issues that brought you to therapy. Together we will come up with short-term and long-term goals for your therapy.

What will happen during regular session?

Regular sessions are 45-50 minutes long and consist of checking in on your emotional and mental well-being since the previous session. Here we will focus on addressing your most pressing issues, learning and practicing new skills, and continuing to work towards your personal therapy goals.

What groups do you run?

At this time I run an ongoing group to help anxious kids called Worry Wizards. The group is designed to help children better understand their anxiety and build practical skills to manage it with confidence. Please, contact me for a start date and if you have any other questions.

Do you take insurance?

I have opted to become out-of-network provider due to recent restrictions related to AI and privacy changes many insurance companies are implementing. This allows me to maintain the highest level of care including flexibility in the type and length of clinical treatment, as well as ensuring absolute privacy and protection of personal information, including information about treatment, of my clients.

If your individual insurance plan policy includes out-of-network care, then you might be eligible for reimbursement of a portion of our sessions. Accessibility of mental health care is important to me and I offer lower rates to clients in need of care, but unable to afford the full fee.  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me for a free call to discuss your needs and concerns.

What is the cost of a session?

The fee varies per individual or family, group session or consulting services. Please, schedule a call with me, or email me for more information. I work on a sliding scale and save few spots in my schedule for clients who are unable to afford the full feel due to financial hardship.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) in mental health is a written document that shows the expected total cost of non-emergency therapy, psychiatry, or counseling services before you begin. Under the federal No Surprises Act that started in 2022, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

I learned so much during my consult with Lucie. As the spouse of someone recently sentenced to incarceration, she was able to help me navigate the next steps for my family. She is very knowledgeable about the effects this will have on my children and shared very valuable insight. I felt lost before speaking with her and feel like she helped me map out our future. Lucie is knowledgeable, nonjudgmental, calm, and caring. I feel very lucky to have been connected with her!
